A new opportunity had arisen for us with a lease term expiring here in Fitzroy
Nord and we had anticipated relocating Bayside with the promise of a new
lifestyle, new clientele, a different demographic and so much potential –
exciting right?!  However, after much
consideration – looking at numbers, accounting for such unknowns and the
prospect, to some degree, of having to start all over again with fit out,
building a new retail client base and the current state of economics, the
concept really started to lose appeal. 

With a new outlook we began to think – actually, we have an opportunity here to
close the book and start a new chapter in our lives.  We are ready for that moment and in fact
after coming to terms with our business closure have embraced it.  We’re not certain at this point what the
immediate future holds for us, but we have a few pots on the fire.  We will be taking a well-deserved break for a
start!  Then who knows – we might
relocate somewhere a little warmer for a start!

It has certainly been a rollercoaster especially these last few months.  We have experienced all the feels these last
few weeks from excitement, anxiety, sadness, disappointment, frustration,
pride, elation, relief, anticipation… 

Everything has been thrown at us in the last ten years from family tragedy, various recessions and of course COVID.  Throw running a small business in there and just life as a family, we feel the time is right for us to try our hands at something else for a time.

We want to thank all of you, customers & suppliers, for supporting us on our
journey over the last 10 years. We have met some of the most amazing, supportive & passionate people.
